Marlboro Street is a safe place for al fresco dining

Marlboro Street recently joined the list of place designated for downtown Cork , which are forbidden to pass through and are reserved for pedestrians only.
The decision was taken after the great success of this initiative ,which was popularized by the prices and echoed by the unrivaled acceptance it received from the visitors.
The initiative gives the right to restaurants and cafes to use the sidewalks opposite them to place tables and all that is required to prepare the place to receive visitors, sit at tables and enjoy eating their food in the movement of vehicles or obstructing traffic.
It is planned to start receiving Visitors by the end of this September, to give the restaurants the opportunity to complete some of the necessary decoration and renovation works , and many kiosks that provide fast food from different parts of the world will also be established.
Paul Montgomary , a member of the Open-Air Eat Your Food initiative, says that the visitor’s enthusiasm is unmatched in the turnout on Princes Street, which has had the greatest impact in encouraging them to implement the project on Malboro Street and to take advantage of the unused parking spaces in it in A more attractive and beneficial way for citizens ,which will turn Marlborough Street into A more colorful and lively place ,where visitors enjoy eating freely and meeting their friends safely, taking into account all the precautions that must be followed to avoid infection with the emerging corona virus.
