A new plan by the government to protect the environment is to reduce waste of clothes and food

Environment Minister Eamon Ryan stated that the implementation of the government’s new plan to preserve the environment has begun, which calls for reducing the proportion of waste from clothes and food dumped into the garbage, by encouraging citizens to reduce their consumption of clothes and food in excess during the next five years.
The plan also aspires to use longer-lived products that can be recycled , instead of short-term products that increase the volume of waste and thus harm the environment, and this plan comes in line with the general trend of the European Union to preserve the environment and increase the growth of the economy.
Many new meaures will be implemented based on this plan ,such as providing garbage bins of three colors for different types of garbage ,prohibiting the use of a number of single – use plastic products starting from next july, spreading awareness campaigns about the importance of the plan and the need to implement it , and also trying to reach half the waste rate, food wasted at the moment by 2030.
