The new climate plan for 2030 will not include a ban on the sale of petrol and diesel cars
The Irish government’s new environmental plan to improve climate conditions does not include a ban on the sale of new gasoline and diesel cars starting from the year 2030,and the plan also does not include a ban on importing used cars that operate on gasoline and diesel.
This measure does not contradict the government’s commitment to its decisions to move forward in reducing the use of carbon compounds in various aspects of its economy by 2050 ,as the decision includes banning the import of use cars that run on fossil fuels starting from 2030.
According to European Union law , the Council of the Union must be informed in advance before implementing the decision , so that the necessary measures are taken into suit all countries of the Union , and this is what the members of the Irish government concerned with drawing the terms of the climate plan for 2030 are now working on.
The plan also includes reducing the heating dependence on burning wood and using green house gases ,and moving towards clean energy instead.
These decisions and measures come within the frame work of the Irish government’s plan to preserve the environment and climate ,entitled’the national Climate plan2050′
