An Post provides free mailing services to nursing home and aged care residents

Anew initiative has been launched by An Post Ireland that will ensure free delivery of all postal cards and letters to and from nursing home residents ,An Post advises those planning to send parcels and postal letters to write the word’ Free Post’ in the place where they usually put the postage, the initiative will continue until 2021.

Couriers will pick up the postcard from the homes of elderly or vulnerable people who cannot got out to buy stamps,while An Post covers the postage.

Debbie Byrne, Managing Director, An post said it is important to support the community during these difficult times as Ireland is expected to face the possibility of further restrictions that will come into effect tonight , and she also said, they want to help people communicate in difficult times ,Especially with the approaching winter season.
