Homelessness charity reports confirm that there are a large number of people seeking help
The charitable organization Noves provided aid last year to more than 5,000 homeless people , the highest rate of aid in a 12- month period since it started working 18 years ago.
Where the percentage represents an increase of 10% over the year 2018, and an increase of 44% in the numbers that were assisted in 2010.
Novas has also supported more than 1%000 homeless children across Limerick ,Clare, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and Dublin.
Inaddition, 358 families helped and provided 13,000 meals for the homeless , the Noves association also opened five new chefs , four in Dublin and one in clare in response to the increasing demand.
The reports also showed an increase in homeless in rural areas, especially west of Cork , the reports showed that the main reasons for those seeking help suffer from mental health and physical health problems caused by alcohol and drug use.
It is worth noting that Novas is one of the largest homeless housing associations in Ireland.
