Douglas Village Mall reopens this November

The two main tenants of Tesco , Marks and Spencer are currently restocking stock ,with the aim of restarting trading on the specified date November 12 , the mall was exposed to a fire in Agusust 2019 , the fire destroyed large parts of the center ,resulting in the loss of approximately 1000 A parking place
The scaffolding surrounding the mall along the Northern Road has now been removed in preparation for the opening of some retail stores , however some stores that are not considered ‘major retail’ will remain closed for the being , and TK Maxx ,a leading clothing retailer ,is scheduled to return to the mall after it lift the current restrictions.
Also ,according to the current level 5 restrictions , it is allowed to open two stores in addition to the butchery, and the pharmacy.
Regarding the reopening of the mall library , the cork City Council spokesperson said ,”the goal is to have the library ready during the third week of December , but reopening it depends on the restrictions of the new Corona virus.
