Inauguration of a new plan to develop tourism on the banks of the River shannon

Within the framework of the state program to invest and develop the port infrastructure in order to stimulate tourism a giant development plan has been launched along the banks of the Shannon River.
Where it is planned to invest approximately 76 million euros to develop the area until 2030.
The plan to develop the tourism sector in Shannon comes within the framework of cooperation between the Irish water bodies sector and ten local executive bodies along the river.
Equipping the Shannon River to become one of the most important global and local centers for tourism is a major goal in the region`s development plan.
This came through the statements of Catherine Martin his Minister of Tourism who also indicated how important these developments are in providing many investment opportunities for the local business sector.
