Personal Public Service number (PPSN) is a unique reference number given to you that helps you access social welfare benefits and public services in Ireland. To get a PPSN you must make an appointment.

PPSN is required for Revenue (taxes) registration in Ireland

Required Documents

1. Original Passport
2. Employment Contract
3. Support letter from work directed to PPSN including company’s PPSN
4. Proof of Address (any of the following)
   1. Tenant contract
   2. Utility (Electricity/Gas) bill
   3. Bank Statement
5. Marriage Certificate Translated into English (For dependant visa traveller)
6. Mobile Number

Tips

1. In you PPSN appointment, you will be asked why do you want to apply for a PPS. You should mention one of the following reasons:

• • Work (For Primary/working traveller)
  • Driving License (For dependant visa traveller)
  • Child Benefit (For dependant visa traveller)

2. You should apply for PPSN for your children to be able to claim child benefit
