Irish companies plan to return employees to the workplace within three months
According to new survey by the Ibec Owners Group, more than three – quarters of Irish companies plan to return employees to their workplaces within the next three months if government guidelines allow.
Ibec CEO Danny McCoy said that clarity is required from the government about the timing of the return of employees to the workplace and that aclear road map for the government must be provided in this regard ,and the roadmap must be aligned with the ongoing review of reopening timelines that reflect the risk reduction that the program presents . The survey results showed that 15% of companies responded to the idea of returning all of their employees to the work place, while 4% plan to keep some employees completely away, and about four out of five compainies confirmed that they would operate a mixed model of remote and on – site work to some extent when returning Opening its offices.
As 370 companies responded to the survey, which was conducted between the last week of april and the first week of May, and the results of the survey showed that the response rate will depend on the advice program provided by the government, and the completion of the vaccination program.
Of survey respondents said that they 29% aim to return in September , and one in five expects to return to their work place with in the next three months.
