Cork City Council launches a new tourism app ” Explore Cork” with more than 850 places to visit
Cork City Council has launched a unique trousim app with more than 850 places to see and things to do across county cork.
The” Explore Cork” application is the first of its kind by any local authority in Ireland and was developed after the success of the GIS Rediscover Cork tourist map,which was launched by the council last summer.
This new tourism application will enable users to browse tourism activities from a group of 850 tourist attractions, which can be classified according to areas of interest such as beaches,visitor attractions, heritage sites,islands, arts and culture musems, and the application provides local information and video clips to highlight a variety of trourism activities, amenities and attractions Unknown in the city and surrounding areas , the app also provides great intra- county walking paths for those who prefer hiking and more.
A major feature of the app is the what Near Me? Which allows the user to learn about nearby attractions and places to eat and stay.
The free tourist app is now available for download for Android and iOS devices.
