A new goal for the government is to ensure that 2.5 million people are fully vaccinated by the end of July
HSE President Paul Reed said that the vaccination program in Ireland is making ” great progress ” as more than one million people were vaccinated in May, bringing 2. 7 million vaccines to being administered.
He confirmed that 50% of the adult population took one does and nearly 20% took their second dose . this resulted in a dcrease in the incidence of the virus and the death rate.
Deputy Prime Minister Mr . Lyovaradkar said that plans to fully reopen Ireland in the summer have made the governmemnt set a clear new goal of ensuring that 60% of the population is fully vaccinated by the end of July.
Meanwhile ,The head of Irish Government Vaccine Task Force, Mr. Braith Markth also told the Business Post that 284,310 doses of Pfizer will be delivered this Wednesday and this will be the largest dose delivery to Ireland.
