Research: Cancer survivors now outnumber the population of Ireland`s largest county
The latest cancer treatments research recently in Ireland confirmed that approximately 45,000 people are diagnosed with cancer annually , and there are approximately 200,000 survivors or people with cancer across the country, and unfortunately, still 9, 000 die from the disease every year , and the best way to change this is the devastating statistic and increasing number of survivors is to support innovative cancer research that will create new treatments for hard-to treat cancers.
The number of survivors is expected to double over the next 25 years, mainly due to improvements in early detection and effective treatment of cancer and new treatment of cancerand new treatment advances , said a spokesperson for cancer survivors . Survival rates for some cancers are already well over 80% or even 90% , but this is not the case for all cancers and we urgently need to change that, with more research and better treatments the many 9, 000 people who still die of cancer each year in Ireland could be saved , and to help achieve this ambitious goal , we are asking for public and government support to increase Investing in cancer research.
