Garadi warn of scam affecting thousand of Irish people using the number 087
Ireland has recently been exposed to a number of scams , where people receive calls from 087 telling them that the call is from Gardai , and anyone who answers the call from this number is told that their PPS number has been deleted , please be careful in this case and end call immediately .
After an increase in the number of phishing calls , the Irish police and the Department of Social Protection recently intensified a number of public warnings and campaigns to alert the public .
Earlier in June , the police issued a warning to all Android mobile users against the ” FluBot” spyware affecting Android devices across the country.
