JYSK stores to open six Irish stores this year, creating 90 new jobs
Danish homware brand JYSK is set to open six new stores in Ireland by the end of the year, with the opening of these new stores seeing an investment of €7 million and creating up to 90 new jobs by the end of this year.
JYSK opened its first store in Ireland in April of 2019 and currently has 150 employees across its nine stores . the company had planned to open 15 stores in Ireland in the first two years, however , the pandemic hampered those plans.
Ronnie Tomminen , General Manager of JYSK , Said that the opening of the six stores in Ireland is part of the overall ambition to continue expanding and opening new stores all over the world, as the company has 3,000 stores world wide, and within the next year the company plans to open 200 new stores across the globe. across Europe.
The company’s public spokesperson said it will open a new store in Cork in October , the new store is located on Eastgate Little Island , and this store will creat15 new jobs.
