Warning to Irish citizens not to book international flights without a valid passport
The Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs issued this warning because the Passport Office is currently facing peak demand for its services . Previously, passport renewals were issued within 10-15 working days, while processing applications for the first time took up to 40 working days.
It has also been reported that across the country has been inundated with inquiries about passports in recent weeks , amind numerous complaints. In response, Mr, Simon Coveney, Ireland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs , advised that Irish citizens should not book international flights unless they had a valid passport , Mr Coveny confirmed that 80 additional employees were assigned to the service to help solve the passport issue.
