Irish supermarket Lidl launches first blueprint for reverse vending machines
Irish department stores Lidl have announced plans to provide reverse vending machines , easy – to – use machines that recycle empty plastic drink bottles and empty soad water bottels.
The reverse vending machines aim to recycle1,500 tons of plastic annually which will then be made into new useable products.
The Irish Minister of Environment and Climate , Mr. Eamon Ryan, welcomed the announcement of the scheme , expressing his hope to start implementation at the national level by 2023 , in line with the government’s objectives.
