Golf: Leona Maguire is the first Irish woman to qualify to win the Solheim Cup on USA
Ireland’s Leona Maguire played a stunning starring role on her first Solheim Cup appearance, as Europe beat the USA15-13 points. Leona Maguire produced a dazzling perfromance that outpaced American golfer Cavan.
Solheim Cup:
It is a golf tournament held every two years for professional golfers and competed by teams representing Europe and the United States of America, named after the American company for the manufacture of golf clubs founded by the Norwegian Karsten Solheim.
Leona has won 4 points for Europe from 5 matches which is the most a single player has won for Europe since the qualifiers started , A successful golfer as well , for Leona golf was not just a sport but it was a talented from a young age , Leona’s father praised his daughter ‘s achievement and explained that years of hard work had led to this glory.
