HSE:The School Vaccination Program has started from 27 Sepetmber across the counry
The Irish Health and Safety Authority is calling on parnents to keep any eye on the immunization programme , announce on Tusday 27 September 2021.
Dr. Lucy Jessup , Director of public Health at the office of Immunizations , explain:
Shools will send consent forms for vaccinations to both primary school students and young children , Parents are kindly requested to return the forms to the school and sign the consent to vaccinate their children , The vaccination program is very important to protect children from preventable diseases such as German meales, whooping cough, meningitis, and others
Dr. Ossie Jessup also explained that children who have not received any vaccinations since the Corona virus pandemic , they can contact the study administration to schedule a date to receive the missed doses of these vaccinations.

Primary vaccination program and MMR vaccine:
Children will be vaccinated at this stage to protect against diphtheria , polio and whooping cough , and a second doese of the rubella and mumps vaccine.

Dr. Lucy Jessup has indicated that there is no need for a time lag between getting the coronavirus vaccine and school vaccinations , stressing that it is absolutely safe for students to receive vaccinations close to each other’s schedule .
