Police warn of a series of car thefts in Cork
The Irish police announced a sersies of car break- ins in Cork , and the police said that leaving the car running makes it easier for thieves to steal it, as 37% of all vechicle thefts occur in residential places and more than half of these accidents occur between 12 Pm it is midnight and 7 am , so the police advise people to be careful not to leave the car in a running condition and to lock it properly.
Last weekend , thieves targeted real estate in the Watergrassell area and stole items from a number of cars , the incident occured at two and three in the morning.
Also, vechicle thefts occur in non- residential areas mostly during working hours , so the police advise people, wherever they are, not to leave any property inside the car and to make sure that the car is locked well, and that the car is parked in a safe and well – lit place, because thieves are usually waiting Cars to steal cash, jewelry and bank cards.
The lastest Irish police reports show that from January 2016 to December 2019, 46,582 vechicles were broken into a cross the country.
