Cork County Council’s Inniscarra Lab prepares for Science Week 2021
Cork County Council ‘s Inniscarra Laboratory is a state local authority Laboratory is a state local authority laboratory first certified to the 1991 ISO17025 standard , staffed by chemists and environment scientists specializing in avariety of scientific fields.
In celebration of Science Week 2021 Cork County Council has produced a series of videos on YouTube revealing the science behind the work scientists do in the future Scientists from the Inniscarra Lab will host primary school students via Zoom to discuss the importance of science in every day life and how it benefits Scientific Work Communities in County Cork.
Many questions related to cosmic phenomena will also be discussed , such as Why does the sky look blue? How do you know that the earth is spherical? And other questions that get students to think of logical answers , as well as videos explaining the important work being done by Inniscarra Lab scientists in the hope that many of the participating children will be inspired to join team of scientists in the future.
The videos will be released daily on Cork County Council’s YouTube channel throught Science Week , which runs November 7- 14.
