Million in €9 funding to provide free antigen testing to university students
Irish Minister for Higher Education Simon Harris has announced € 9 million in funding to provide free antigen tests to Irish university students.
Mr . Simon explained that an awareness campaign will be announced on how to use the tests correctly , and Mr Simon Harris described this initiative as an additional measure to protect students , the higher education sector and society as a whole.
The Association of Irish Universities welcomed the announcement, saying that universities will work from now on to conclude a set of agreements in order to provide exams as soon as possible .
Meanwhile , the Irish Ministry of Education reviewed controversial instructions issued to schools , which were directed to prevent older children from attending primary school if they refuse to wear masks without a medical reason.
