Announcing more than €90 million for the development of the Dublin-Cork railway
Ireland’s Minister of Transport , Eamonn Ryan , has announced the government’s approval of an additional €91.5 million in funding to spend on the development of the Dublin – Cork railway This investment is expected to reduce journey times by 8-10 minutes. Capable of accommodating speeds of up to 200 km per hour , other funding objectives are also to develop the rail network from Limerick to waterford .
Irish Transport Minister Eamonn Ryan said the new improvements to the Dublin and Cork line will boost passenger service and attract more people to the rail service.
