Corona Virus Vaccination program for children aged 5-11 years started
All children aged 5-11 will be offered an initial dose of the coronavirus vaccine , as parents can register their children through theb Irish Health and Safety Online Portal . Children will receive the Pfizer mRNA vaccine .
Earlier vaccination for children in this age group with serious health conditions had already begun , but the vaccination program is now open to everyone in this age group.
As in joint statement on Friday, Health Secretary Stephen Donnelly , Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan and Chairman of the National Immunization Advisory Board Garena Butler encouraged parents and guardians to bring their children for vaccinations.
Meanwhile , at a time when various sectors are suffering from employment problems due to the Corona virus , a nursing survey was conducted in Ireland , the results of which showed that 8% of employees are not available for work due to Covid-19.
