Emerald Airlines interoduces new air service between Dublin and Donegal
Through a recent tender conducted by the Irish Department of Transport , Emerald Airlines has won a ten – years contract to operate its regional Aer Lingus serrvice, a PSO route under the Air Lingus brand , The service will be operational from February 26.
Irish Transport Minisiter , Eamon Ryan said the operation of this government funded service would greatly help those who need to attend medical or other important appointments as well as support and revitalize the tourism business in Donegal whic is an attractive tourist destination.
Emerland Airlines plans to operate more than 340 flights per week across 11 routes as March 17, 2022 that will provide a series of aircraft ATR72-600 operated by Emerald Airlines , an additional seat capacity of 72 whic will help the airport to recover passengers and contribute to working closely with tourism business development agencies to increase trousim promotion The service will provide two flights per day connecting the capital Dublin and Donegal.
The development has been welcomed by Donegal Airport , as the announcement is a major boost to ensuring continued connectivity between Dublin and Donegal.
