Finance minister: a range of measures are being considered as part of the government’s plan to address the rise in living
Irish finance minister paschal Donohoe said the Irish government was considering a range of measures amid at reducing the cost of energy , health care and education as part of the government’s plan to tackle rising living prices , with government leaders asking ministers to formulate policy proposals aimed at easing the financial burden of record inflation rates.
This comes at a time when the ecb has indicated that interest rates many rise later this year, the cost of health care will be central be the government’s plan , specifically on reducing emergency and prescription fees while reducing the minimum payment system.
the government is also examining the limits of medical cards to allow more people to claim interest , and there are also plans under discussion to increase the amount of tax -free funds employers can give to their employees from 500 euros to 1,000 euros.
the plan will be presented to the cabinet subcommittee next thursday to be under discussion and then implemented.
