Foreign Minister: Simon Coveney : 6€ million in funding to support UNRWA, the united Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees
The Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Simon Coveney, announced funding of 6 million euros to support UNRWA the united Nation Relief and works Agency for Palestinians in the Near East)in meeting the humanitarian and development needs of 5.7 million Palestinian refugees across the five regions of Jordan, Lebanon , Syria , West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Explaining Ireland’s€6 million funding to support Palestinian refugee camps ,Mr. Coveney said:
Generations of Palestinian families have grown up in refugee camps , living in poverty and facing incredible difficulties , and the effort made by UNRWA is a lifeline for million of Palestinians , because of the important services it provides , such as health care , education , humanitarian relief and social services ,Ireland is proud to play a role Important in supporting UNRWA to help Palestinian families and provide the services they desperately need.
