Tedros explained that relying on herd immunity naturally causes scientific and ethical problems, as allowing a dangerous virus that we do not understand much about to be released freely is simply not optional , and the lack of information available about the development of immunity against the Corona virus must also be taken into account.
He also said’the vast majority of people in most countries of the world are still vulnerable to infection with this virus’.
In the meantime, Italy and many European countries are preparing to cancel the celebration that were to be celebrated and with the continued rise in infections some European countries , including the United Kingdom spain and France have tightened the prevention and control of the epidemic in the hope of avoiding the large-scale closures that severely affected the Its economic recovery.
It is worth noting that, according to the latest statistics of the world Health Organization , more than a million people around the world have died so far due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and infections have exceeded more than 37.5 million cases since the virus first appeared in China late last year.
