A long waiting list for Cork driving test takers

The Road Safety and Security Authority in Cork warned of the long waiting list for applicants for driving test, as the applicant can wait for the driving test, as the applicant can wait for approximately 7 months until he can get an appointment, and this means that applicants currently will not be able to complete the test until next April 2021.
Currently, the waiting list contains 3,206 applicants,1,054 deadlines have been identified and informed of them, and there are 1,812 others whose application has been rejected for not meeting the required criteria.
The spokesperson of the authority says that the reason for the length of the list is due to the suspension period that extended for four months due to the ban to confront the Corona virus, and that the authority has returned to work with only 75% of the total number of its employees after the end of the ban period ,and that the priority in setting new dates has been given for those whose appointments previously set for them were canceled before the ban period.
The authority calls on citizens to inform it if they wish to cancel the appointments set for them to give the rest of the applicants a chance to complete the exam.
