Ireland is ranked among the most stringent countries in the world in implementing precautionary measures to confront the emerging coronavirus pandemic

According to the study conducted by the University of Oxford recently, Ireland has ranked seventh out of the186 countries in the world, for the countries most stringent in applying precautionary measures to confront the emerging corona virus.
This study found that the measures taken by the National Health Emergency Authority NPHE and the Irish government are stronger than any other measures taken in the rest of Europe , Asia, Australia ,America,Canda , and most of Africa.
The remaining six countries on the list are Eritrea,Venezuela, Peru,Chile, Argentina and Honduras.
These precautionary measures, which contributed to reducing the severely affected numbers, included various aspects such as imposing social distancing in workplaces and studies , preventing travel between provinces except for necessity, and also stopping many social activities.
