Veteran journalist honored Robert Fisk

Veteran journalist and reporter Robert Fisk who died at the age of 74 was honored.
Robert Fisk worked as an Irish reporter for the times of london in the early1970s , than later became the Middle East correspondent for that newspaper ,and then moved to the Independent in 1989.
Robert Fisk has lived in Beirut since 1976 ,published a book on the lebanese conflict titled ‘the compassion of the Nation ‘in 1990 , and has also written extensively on conflicts including the Soviet -Afghan War ,the Iran-Iraq War,the Gulf War,the War in Bosnia and the ongoing Syrian War.
Robert Fisk , a ph D from Trinity college ,owned a home in Dalkey, co Dublin , and had acquired Irish citizenship in recent years.
The Irish Times also reported that he had a stroke at his home in Dublin on Friday and later died in hospital.
President Hingnes said that generations have relied on Robert Fisk to get an informed critical view of what is happening in conflict zones a round the world , and Taoiseach Micheal Martin stated that Fisk was courageous in his writings with a deep understanding of the intricacies and history of Middle East prolitics.
It should be noted that Robert Fisk is one of the most prominent journalists in support of the palestinian cause, and participated in covering the Gaza war in2008 and worked on covering the Israeli massacres against the Palestinians ,He is truly a journalist with a veteran experience.
