The National Immunisation Advisory (NIAC) Issues important advice on Coronavirus Vaccine (AstraZeneca)

NIAC president Professor Karina Butler stated all newly approved Coronavirus vaccines-Pfizer-modern- AstraZenca and Janseen are highly effective and significantly reduce the risk of severe Coronavirus disease in all age groups ,and she said ,”we strongly encourage everyone to accept the vaccine thatis offered to them.
The committee provided some important advice from them:
1-AstraZeneca- COVID -19 is not recommended for those under the age of 60 with very high risk health conditions.
2-A second dose of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine should not be given to anyone who has had unusual blood clots with low platelets after the first dose.
3-person over the age of 60 years who suffer from serious illnesses and received the first dose of the vaccine , the second dose should be vaccinated after about 12 weeks as scheduled, , and for people under the age of 60 years and who do not suffer from serious health problems , the second does must be vaccinated after 16 week.
