Green energy company creates 85 jobs in Cork
Green energy company has announced plans to establish Ireland`s first green hydrogen facility, which will be environmentally friendly, providing 85 new job opportunities in Cork. The company works closely with Engery Services , an energy consulting firm with long experience in communication networks and operating energy markets.
The company also intends to obtain planning permission for the electrolysis plant , which when operational , will remove 63, 000 tons of carbon emissions annually from Irish industry and power generation, and upon completion , the site will be one of largest green energy facilities of its kind in the world ,the cost of construction and connection to the electricity grid is expected to be in the range of 120 million euros.
Company owner , businessman Pearse Flynn , said that hydrogen production from excess wind power will play an important role in decarbonizing Ireland since Ireland could generate 8 gigawatts of offshore wind by 2030 and the site will aim to supply more than 20 tons of green and safe hydrogen to the market. commercial.
Foreign Minister Simon Coveney welcomed the plan presented by the company and said that it would greatly help to put Ireland on soild environmental foundations and show global leader ship in energy projects.
