Irish government launches National Employment Strategy Pathways to work 2021-2025
The Irish government has announced its plan for economic recovery from the repercussions of the emerging Corona virus crisis by launching the Pathways to work strategy 2021-2025 for national employment this strategy outlines how the Public Employment Service can use its ability to provide effective services in the labor market after the Corona virus pandemic , while increasing Demand for these services is among those who have permanently lost their jobs due to the pandemic , and the strategy will also support those facing additional challenges , such as people with disabilities , single parents and minority groups.
Many Irish companies , large and small, have been through the hardest time imaginable over the past 16 months . this is why it has been necessary for the government to put in place a set of measures to help protect jobs and keep those businesses operating across the country during the pandemic and to get those who have lost their jobs back to work.
The strategy will also aim to provide a labor market experience program that includes accredited training and significant development opportunities for participants , which will contribute to ensuring that participants are in a much better position in the labor market to find new jobs upon completion of this program over two years is 95 €1 million with a €27 million contribution from the National Training Fund , also as priority funding under the Economic Recovery Plan submitted to the European Union Commission.
The program will be available to all people who have been unemployed for more than six months- including recipients of pandemic unemployment payments.
