Cork County Council , in collaboration with the Skibbereen Heritage Center , has launched a Heritage Tourist Map that includes videos and blogs on important sites across the city , the Skibbereen Hertiage Map will provide in depth historical and heritage information on more than 60 local sites research and compiled by the city council -owend Skibbereen Heritage center<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cork County Mayor Mrs Mary Linehan Foley congratulated the Skibbereen Heritage Center on the initiative to launch the map ,saying<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This hard work is one of the wonderful assets of the province as it provides a formu for the participation of aglobal audience about the history of the city via the internet , and Mary also prasied the efforts made by the center to provide this media heritage map by that has received great comments from users around the world and Mary said ,, wep hop that some of them have the opportunity to visit in person soon <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The map will also provide information on historical figures who lived in Skibbereen , such as Walter Kindred , who opened his legs after returning from a big tour of India <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The map is free to use and available through the link<\/p>\n\n\n\n
