{"id":387,"date":"2020-05-04T00:07:11","date_gmt":"2020-05-04T00:07:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/irelandinarabic.org\/?p=387"},"modified":"2021-05-15T21:48:05","modified_gmt":"2021-05-15T21:48:05","slug":"irish-residency-permit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irelandinarabic.org\/?p=387&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Irish Residency Permit"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"boldgrid-section\">\n<div class=\"container\">\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-md-12 col-xs-12 col-sm-12\">\n<h1 class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/h1>\n<p>IRP (Irish residency Permit) \u2013 previously known as GNIB (Garda National Immigration Bureau) &#8211; is the residency permit in Ireland and is considered the actual visa when living in Ireland, it holds also the type residency (Stamp).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Depending on the type of stamp, the validity of the permit is decided.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Residency permit is issued in immigration office (INIS) in the nearest Garda (police) station to the residency address from this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.inis.gov.ie\/en\/INIS\/Pages\/registration-offices\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Required Documents<\/span><\/p>\n<ol class=\"\">\n<li>Original Passport<\/li>\n<li>Original Employment Permit<\/li>\n<li>Proof of Address <em>(Tenant contract \/&nbsp;Utility (Electricity\/Gas) bill \/&nbsp;Bank Statement)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Employment Contract<\/li>\n<li>Work Support Letter (For Main traveler)<\/li>\n<li>Marriage Certificate with English Translation (For dependent visa traveler)<\/li>\n<li>Active bank card to pay fees in the office (no cash is accepted) (Fees 300 EUR per person)<\/li>\n<li>Date of entry to Ireland<\/li>\n<li>Registration deadline date placed in the passport when entered Ireland<\/li>\n<li>Details of family members applying with you<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Residency Permits Stamps for Critical Skills Employment Permit (CSEP)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">When living in Ireland under CSEP, the first Stamp received is Stamp 1 that is renewed for the validity period of the CSEP.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">After completing 21 months from your first day of entry to Ireland, you are eligible to upgrade you Residency Permit to Stamp 4<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The required documents are the same as renewing the residency permit plus Stamp 4 Support Letter from DBEI<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Support letter can be obtained from Department of Business Enterprise and Innovation (DBEI), prepare the following documents and send them via email to <a href=\"mailto:EPStamp4@dbei.gov.ie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EPStamp4@dbei.gov.ie<\/a><\/p>\n<ol class=\"\">\n<li>Fill in Request for Support Letter for Green Card\/Critical Skills Employment Permit Holders seeking a \u201cStamp 4\u201d on <a href=\"https:\/\/dbei.gov.ie\/en\/Publications\/Request-for-Support-Letter-for-Green-Card-Critical-Skills-Permit-Holders-seeking-Stamp-4.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gov.ie<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Scan copy of Critical Skills Employment Permit from <a href=\"https:\/\/revenue.ie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revenue.ie<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Employment Detail Summary for latest two years<\/li>\n<li>Confirmation of Employment from HR indicating title and salary<\/li>\n<li>Latest 3 pay slips<\/li>\n<li>Health insurance payment confirmations for latest two years<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"\">Once application is submitted, applicant received confirmation email with the application reference and reception date, applications processing progress can be followed on this <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.gov.ie\/en\/What-We-Do\/Workplace-and-Skills\/Employment-Permits\/Current-Application-Processing-Dates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Stamp 4 permission validity is two years and can be renewed using the same documents to issue it (residency permit renewal documents plus Stamp 4 Support Letter).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">After completing five years of combined Stamp 1\/Stamp 4 status, you may be eligible to apply for long term residency or naturalization as an Irish citizen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">If you have a dependent spouse\/partner who currently holds a Stamp 3 or Stamp 1G, they must remain in Stamp 3 or Stamp 1G status after you get your Stamp 4. They are not eligible for a Stamp 4 as your dependent. If your spouse\/partner is working or intends to work they must continue to hold a Stamp 1G for this purpose.
