Agency , explained that Covid-19 vaccines will continue to provide protection against the new variants and that it could take three to four months to get EMA approval for  any vaccines modified to has also made it clear that countries with much lower rates of Covid-19 vaccines have higher death rates, as Ms Emer Cooke told MEPs that vaccination  rates in Ireland  are among the highest in  Europe and also indicated that  Medicines Agency is working  hard with international  regulators  And with the World Health Organization and the European Center for Disease Control and Prevention , stressing that we are preparing for the worst , even if we hope for the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"615\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms.Emer Cooke said that pharmaceutical companies will need time to ensure production  systems are  working  and clinical trails are conducted, and stressed that they are working  with these companies to ensure that we are  prepared and prepared as possible to deal with these consequences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Omicron virus was first reported in South Africa and the World Health  Organization said it  carries a very  high risk of infection .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And last but not least , Ms Emer Cooke added that there  are major differences between  the situation in Europe   and South Africa in terms of the  proportion of the population that has  been vaccinated and the  proportion of  awareness  campaigns about  the dangers and prevention of the
